Karen Hamilton

Karen’s life as an artist began at birth

During her time of Interior Design for Ethan Allen she realized designing and fabricating jewelry was where she’d rather be.

She spent ten years at the Riverbend Art Center in Dayton, 0hio, taking classes in enameling, metal, smithing, lapidary and pottery.

Karen works with Silver, Copper, and Polymer Clay, creating jewelry and boxes with the help of 20th century machines.

She opened an Art Gallery in 2000 and quickly realized her 1895 barn setting would be more functional as a Bed & Breakfast. Twelve years later she sold her property and moved to Taos with her sister, Sharon and their parents.

Now she’s loving life in the “Land of Enchantment”.

Her work is represented in Las Comadres Gallery in the John Dunn Shops in Taos.
